Monique McDonald, Director New York Studio

Founded in 1983, the Institute for Musical Arts, Inc. (I.M.A.) is an intensive training center for singers.  With dramatic soprano Betti McDonald as its Director and Master Teacher, the Institute provides a fertile training ground for artists studying all the vocal genres - opera, oratorio, recital, jazz, pop, and musical theater.  The I.M.A. welcomes singers interested in a professional career as well as those whose pursuit of singing is personal. The studio is dedicated to physical, psychological, and spiritual healing through the study of singing. These principles, together with her expertise in the use of the vocal and respiratory apparatus have distinguished the I.M.A. as a leader in the field of vocal education since its inception.

The New York Studio is holding ongoing auditions for new artists. Contact auditions@theinstituteformusicalarts.org for an appointment
